The competition encourages residents, staff, and local volunteers to work together to transform neglected or underutilized areas into vibrant and welcoming gardens. The competition is judged by a panel of experts, including horticulturalists, landscape architects, and garden designers. The judges assess the gardens based on a variety of criteria, such as design, functionality, sustainability, and community engagement.

The award was presented by the renowned gardening expert, Mr. Green, who is known for his expertise in organic gardening and sustainable practices. Mr. Green’s reputation precedes him, and his insights are highly sought after by many gardeners across the Midlands.
