SAGE

Sage (Salvia officinalis) is known for its many medicinal properties, which include:

  • Antioxidant
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antispasmodic
  • Analgesic (pain relief)

Sage can be used to treat:

  • Coughs, colds, bronchitis and asthma; nausea due to morning sickness or motion sickness; arthritis pain; sore throats; diarrhea; rashes on the skin caused by poison ivy or poison oak. You can also use sage as a gargle for a sore throat or coughs. Sage is also said to help heal wounds faster when it’s applied topically onto them.
