Beach Scenery

Introduction

I love being outside, especially when there’s someplace beautiful to go. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve been walking along the beach and found myself mesmerized by how majestic nature can be. For example, one time when I was walking on a beach in Florida during a storm, everything was gray and gloomy; but as soon as the sun came out again, it turned into this bright green paradise full of life and color. It’s not just beaches that have this effect on me either—I’ve also taken countless photographs at other outdoor locations like national parks or hiking trails.

Foggy morning beach scenery

Fog is a great time to enjoy the beach. It can create a mysterious atmosphere and make the coastline look more interesting. Fog can also be dangerous and should not be walked through. If you’re going to take photographs, try using your camera’s macro setting or slow shutter speed settings.

Sunrise over the ocean

  • The best time to take sunrise photos is when the sun is just above the horizon. It’s a good idea to set up your camera and tripod well before dawn, then sit back and watch as the sky changes color.
  • The best time to take sunset photos is when the sun is just below the horizon. If you want dramatic shots of golden light on water or clouds, make sure that there are no man-made structures in your shot—buildings can reflect light and create distracting reflections in cameras with mirrors (SLRs).
  • The best time for photographing illuminated objects in space like planets or stars is at night; this is called astrophotography. Since stars are so far away from Earth, they appear stationary relative to each other even though they are actually moving through space at incredible speeds due to their own gravitational pulls on one another!

Storm clouds over the ocean

If you’re looking for the best shots of storm clouds over the ocean, here are some tips.

  • When it’s raining or snowing, it’s best to shoot from inside your car. But if it’s not raining or snowing and you have time before the storm starts, then try shooting from a dry place in front of water. You can use rocks or even something as simple as an umbrella to stand on if you don’t want to get wet feet and clothes!
  • The best time for this type of shot is at sunset or sunrise because after either one happens there will be more light coming into your camera than at other times (unless it’s cloudy).3 If you’re lucky enough that there are no clouds around then try using flash photography! It looks really cool when done correctly so make sure not only how much light but also where exactly they should go on your subject matter(s).4 Lastly when taking photos try not touching anything else like sand because sometimes people walk through them without realizing what they’ve done so make sure everything stays clean before going home 🙂

Dunes on the beach

Dunes are formed when wind blows sand into mounds. Dunes are very common on beaches, and can be found in many different places around the world.

Dunes act as important habitats for plants and animals in their area, including insects like dragonflies and butterflies. They also help to protect coastal land from erosion caused by waves crashing onto the beach.

Dunes have many uses, such as surfing, hiking or just playing around in them!

Seagulls flying overhead

Seagulls are a common sight on beaches. They can often be seen flying overhead, sometimes swooping down to steal food left behind by beach-goers or other animals.

While seagulls aren’t dangerous, they can be pests if they’re stealing your lunch or hovering too close for comfort. If you find yourself in this situation, let me know how it goes!

Rainbow after a storm

Rainbows are caused by the sun shining through raindrops. They appear when the sun is behind you, and you need to be facing that direction as well. The rainbow is visible because it’s a spectrum of colors, with red at one end and violet at the other. You can see this effect in objects like oil slicks or frost crystals on windows, but it’s most obvious in rainbows because they’re so colorful!

Rainbows only happen after it rains or snows and when the sun is low in the sky—this means there has to be some water up in those clouds for us to see them! If there’s not enough moisture up there then we might not see any rainbows today!

Palm trees in the breeze

When you’re shooting palm trees, make sure that you are in the foreground and that the palm trees are in focus. The best way to do this is by making sure your camera lens is zoomed out all the way and that it’s pointing at an angle that shows both sides of a tree trunk (as opposed to one side). Try taking photos from different heights as well; this allows for more dramatic photos showing more of their surroundings.

Sand dunes with wildflowers

Sand dunes with wildflowers is a great example of a subject that can be photographed in several different ways. You can get close-up shots by using a telephoto lens, or you can take wide shots using a wide-angle lens. A macro lens will also allow you to capture some really nice close-ups of the flowers.

To capture this scene, I used my Canon 6D with the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM attached and set at 200mm (approximately 100mm equivalent). The image below was shot on Manual mode at f/16 and 1/200 second shutter speed, with ISO 100 and white balance set to Auto:

A rock formation sticking out of the sand

If you’re looking for a great subject to photograph, a rock formation sticking out of the sand is a good option. These are interesting items that can add interest to your photo and give it personality. For example, if you’re photographing an ocean scene and want to show that there’s something unusual about this particular beach, then use a rock formation as part of your composition. This could be achieved by moving closer to the rocks or by shooting from an angle above them so they appear larger in the frame than they actually are (see Figure 1).

Sandcastles on the beach

Sandcastles are fun to build, and can be a great photography subject. If you’re not planning on building your own sandcastle, you can still take pictures of other people’s sandcastles. If you do decide to build one yourself, it could make for a great photo essay about the experience of building a sandcastle.

People having fun at the beach

The beach is a great place to have fun with friends and family, and there are plenty of ways to do that.

You can play in the water, or walk along the shoreline as you throw tennis balls for your dog. You can also relax on a towel in the sun, or find a shady spot under a tree and read for hours at a time. If you’re feeling brave and want to try something new, you could even take up surfing!
