Gardening as Theater (2 of 9)

Gardening as Theater (2 of 9): Looking down the length of the arbor from the restaurant door out to the front road. The immense Summer Border is the entire left side of the arbor walk, but plants spill into the walkway from both sides. The mammoth large-leaved flower at the front-left is the red-flowered variety of smoking tobacco. You can see easily another one a hundred feet farther down the arbor walk.
