The large variegated leaves of the clerodendron bush are riveting. Clerodendron trichotomum 'Harlequin' just misses being hardy in Rhode Island, though, so is growing in a large pot, sunk into this mixed border for the Summer, and in Winter stored dormant, still in that same pot, in the basement.
